Case Studies and Applications of Data

The icons below provide case studies to highlight work done by the team at PARC using data from Regional Climate Models (RCMs) and tree-rings (paleoclimate reconstructions). More detailed information about the use of RCMs and Paleoclimate data can be found by clicking the Learn More icons.

This page will be updated regularly as new projects are completed and featured.

Regional Climate Models

High-resolution climate projections are applied to climate risk assessment and adaptation planning to provide climate data at scales relevant to municipalities and regions. Click on the links below to access some of our recent projects to see how we have used high-resolution RCM projections across the Prairie provinces.

Paleoclimate Reconstructions

Many of our projects use our database of tree-ring data and reconstructions of the climate / hydrology of the past millennium. Following are links to how paleo-hydroclimatic data contributed to assessments of regional climate change, impacts and risks, and the evaluation of adaptation strategies.
